A little bit about me
I’m a fully licensed and accredited Acupuncturist and Naturopath (DipAcu, DipNat, MBAcC, mGNC, mANP) with a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology and an MSc in Environmental Science. As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, I adhere to the BAcC codes of safe practice and professional conduct and have to comply with current health and safety legislation, with full insurance and the need for continuing professional development.
I became an Acupuncturist after it helped me with health issues that no one else seemed interested in or could help with, following a significant trauma. In addition to my training as an Acupuncturist and Naturopath, I also have diplomas in Battlefield (Ear) Acupuncture, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Facial Gua Sha and Cupping, Facial Indonesian Face-Lift Massage and Microneedling.
I’ve specialised in paediatrics under the guidance of Rebecca Avern and I’m an active member of the Hub Of Paediatric Acupuncture, which is a global community of practitioners dedicated to supporting children’s health through acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
I come from a strong scientific background, with a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology, and an MSc (Distinction) in Environmental Science. I’ve worked in medical publishing, in a laboratory, and taught science up to A Level. I believe this background helps me to relate our western medical perspective to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
