Quote for this week...
'Worry and grief generate illness... When you think about something and don't let go of it, internally you will be distressed, externally you will be weak.' Original Tao, 4th Century BCE. Learning to let go is something I find difficult, but I'm working on it.
A more optimistic quote: 'Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?' 'Supposing it didn't,' said Pooh after careful thought. Piglet was comforted by this. A. A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh, 1928.
As a healthcare provider I am OPEN. As a member of the BAcC I can offer continuation of care for clients, both for physical and emotional symptoms, for those whose condition is likely to deteriorate if they are unable to continue with acupuncture treatment and for those whose treatment is time limited, such as preparation for ivf or pre and post-embryo transfer treatments. This also applies to any new clients who are considering acupuncture for their issues. If you have any queries please get in touch.
UPDATE: I can now begin to offer my Facial Rejuvenation Treatments, again. Hurray! This will take a few days to get ready for, as there are new BAcC guidelines about to be published, but please get in touch if you are interested as I have a bit of a list.
I also have my wonderful new wider treatment couch and, for those lucky clients who have already tried it out, it is so comfy! It is also the perfect size for my NEW protective screen for facial acupuncture clients.
Local Acupuncturist and Naturopath offering Acupuncture, Cupping, Gua Sha and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture in Patchway, Charlton Hayes, Bristol
Acupuncture is amazing. It can help a huge variety of problems, from back pain and sciatica, to emotional issues, such as irritability and anxiety. It treats the whole person and not just the symptoms as it aims to find the cause. The treatment given for the same condition in several people can be very different because it can be caused for different reasons.
I became an Acupuncturist after it helped me with some issues that no one else seemed interested in or could help with. And with each treatment I wanted to know why it helped whereas other treatments had not. I come from a science background and so was constantly questioning the theories behind Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis. But the longer I studied and treated clients for, the more this modality made total sense. As a member of the BAcC, there is a minimum of three years degree level training, which must include relevant western medicine including anatomy and physiology. We adhere to the BAcC codes of safe practice and professional conduct and have to comply with current health and safety legislation, with full insurance and the need for continuing professional development. There are very few side effects, and acupuncture can treat just about everyone, including children and during pregnancy.
As an Acupuncturist and Naturopath who works from home, I am lucky enough to have been able to create a relaxing, homely room that reflects who I am and that my clients find welcoming and extremely relaxing. It is ultimately a friendly place that offers treatment for the whole family. What I aim to do is to get to the root of a problem. Sometimes there is a quick fix, and sometimes there isn't, but I hope to make a difference.
My Acupuncture practice is within easy reach of Patchway, Bradley Stoke, Charlton Hayes, Filton, Thornbury and Bristol. I am just a short distance from the M4/M5 junction at Aztec West and close to the A38. I have a range of available clinic times so please get in touch to find out how I can help you and when. The quickest way to get more information or to book an appointment is to give me a ring or send me a text.
I am experienced at working with patients presenting conditions such as back pain, nerve pain, migraines, hayfever, menstrual issues, PCOS, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, fertility issues, IBS and many more.
Acupuncture can help. It has helped me, it can help you too.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you to achieve balance and wellness.

NEW Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a centuries old practice. It is a gentle, effective, and safe way to combat the signs of aging and erase years from your face without the risks of surgery.
Left: Forehead before first treatment
As a Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncturist I want to make you feel as good as you look. These amazing treatment sessions give you up to two hours of serious pampering. They are deeply relaxing as well as an effective way of improving your overall appearance and reducing the signs of ageing and stress.
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture builds collagen, tones muscles, improves circulation, and stimulates blood flow - but it is much more than a cosmetic procedure. Acupuncture changes the energy flow within the body - if energy is not flowing freely throughout your body then your organs, muscles and lymphatic system cannot function properly, which can contribute to puffiness, bags and premature aging.
Right: Forehead after third treatment - lines are more shallow, less obvious and some are starting to disappear.
Using this Holistic approach, not only do your frown lines disappear, but you feel better overall, sleep better, have more energy and better digestion. Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture stimulates facial muscle function, and the face lifts itself via the acupuncture points - returning the face to a healthier, revitalized, youthful appearance. Hair thin needles are placed in the outside of the ear to induce relaxation, and body points are used which correspond the individual’s specific needs. Once you are deeply relaxed, needles are placed on the face in acupuncture points as well as wrinkles. The effects of Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture are cumulative - so a series of sessions are needed for visible, sustained results.
Left: Chin before first treatment.
Although the results of Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture are cumulative, they are certainly visible! The images show the results that can be achieved after just two or three sessions.
Right: Chin after third treatment. Much less puffiness, chin line is more defined.
This client's husband noticed the difference after the first treatment - his comments as she walked in the door were 'You look brighter! Where have your lines gone? What have you done?'. Even her children are wondering what's changed...
