About me...

Professional Qualifications
I originally studied science in great detail, and have a BSc(hons) in microbiology, and an MSc (distinction) in Environmental Science. I have worked in science research, healthcare journalism, and have also taught science up to A level in secondary education. My Acupuncture qualifications include DipAcu and DipNat and MBAcC - I am also a qualified Naturopath.

Areas of Specialism
I see a huge range of conditions in my clients and am happy to treat all, including children.

Pain Relief
I have trained in a special form of acupuncture for pain relief (Battlefield Acupuncture) which is incredibly effective for both acute and chronic pain conditions. It can be used alongside a 'normal' acupuncture treatment if necessary too.

Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture
I have also trained in facial cosmetic acupuncture with a leading expert. Not only is this beneficial for our face and helps us cosmetically, but it is also a great wellbeing treatment.

My other areas of interest are fertility, hormonal balance (both male and female), anxiety and the links between mental and physical health. Our emotional state is very important to our physical health and vice versa. Acupuncture recognises and treats both!

Personal Approach
I would like to think my personal approach is friendly and relaxed and my clinic space reflects this. I have a very inquisitive mind that helps to get to the root cause of a condition, but also consider myself very empathic. I know from personal experience how difficult life can be. How sometimes it seems as if everything has been thrown at you at the same time, as if the world was trying to see just how much you could cope with at once. But I also know that we can get through these times, that we learn from them, that we change as people and become better. Acupuncture helped me and continues to help me; I know that it can do that for you too.
